QTT, INC. names Auter S.A. Distributor in Chile08-01-2006 (DURHAM, NC. August, 2006) – Quixote Transportation Technologies, Inc. (QTT) has added AUTER as a distributor for its entire product line in Chile. AUTER produces and markets engineering services in the transportation field, and emphasizes products and systems in the areas of traffic control and ITS. The company will be responsible for distributing QTT’s highway advisory radio, integrated systems, traffic sensors, traffic analysis systems, and Road / Runway Weather Information Systems (RWIS).AUTER began in 1980 and is comprised of over 200 engineers, technicians and administration specialists. Over the past 25 years, AUTER has provided engineering studies, systems development, manufacturing of electronic traffic controllers, and installation and maintenance of traffic lights, controllers, vehicle count equipment, toll and weighing equipment. The company has vast experience in flow measurements using well-known British and Australian simulation models. AUTER designs and manufactures its A4F Electronic Traffic Controller under British standards, which was adopted by Chilean Authorities and operates under the SCOOT System in Santiago. AUTER is located in Santiago, Chile, and serves municipalities, ministries, industrial, mining and construction companies, public works and a variety of other private entities, such as shopping centers.
