QTT Introduces New trans-Q Radar Traffic Classifier

QTT has released the trans-Q, a new non-intrusive radar classifier for measuring traffic data.  The trans-Q is designed for non-contact measurement and utilizes radar technology to detect traffic count, speed, and length.

The trans-Q is one of three new non-intrusive sensors from QTT.  The new “Q” line of sensors provides non-intrusive options for determining critical pavement and traffic information.

The trans-Q gives traffic engineers a solution when non-intrusive traffic monitoring is needed.  The trans-Q classifier is an excellent alternative when other portable or permanent traffic sensors cannot be used because of location, safety or other regulations.  Non-intrusive technology allows you to collect traffic data without sensors in the roadway, which increases the safety of maintenance personnel and does not require lane closures or in-pavement installation and maintenance.

The trans-Q is easy to set-up on the roadside with a PDA (Palm) and does not disturb traffic flow.  The sensor detects all passing vehicles in two directions and data is easily retrieved with a corded PDA (Palm) or wireless Bluetooth connection.

You don’t need to install anymore loops or tubes!  The trans-Q gathers all the traffic data you need – accurately, non-intrusively, and at an affordable price.
